Computer and Information Security Training Services

Training at IAPS:

Advanced technical training has been the primary service of IAPS since our inception in 1977. We understand the "business" of training -- what works, as well as what doesn't. Most of our programs are instructor led, on-site, and customized as needed. When we design instruction for a client, we consider the potential role of mentoring, on-the-job training, media-based or computer assisted self study, or a combination of these delivery modes in addition to our instructor led courses. We assist our clients to optimize the overall cost and effectiveness of their training investment.

Computer and Information Security Faculty:

Most of our workshop leaders have been solving information security problems prior to the rise of the Internet and before the term "hacker" was used in computers. Unlike many training organizations' trainers, our instructors are also actively involved in their field of professional practice -- their experience transcends the classroom.

Courses and Hands-on Workshops:

Our standard courses are listed below. Often, our instructional programs are coupled with our consulting services and customized, based on organization-specific requirements including IT architecture and the type and location of information assets.

Security Clients:

Training clients have included Bull, Cisco, DEC, HP, IBM, MCI, Motorola, TRW, Kaiser Permanente Northern California Region, the Royal Hong Kong Jockey Club, The Singapore Ministry of Education, Citibank, Republic National Bank, Freescale Semiconductor, and many more.
